These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Nutrition Buddy mobile application and related online services ("Service"). By installing, accessing, or using Nutrition Buddy, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Informational Purposes & Medical Disclaimer
Nutrition Buddy is not a medical device or healthcare provider. All nutritional estimates, calorie calculations, macronutrient breakdowns, and AI feedback provided by the app are for general wellness and educational tracking purposes only.
You should not rely on Nutrition Buddy as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified physician, registered dietitian, or certified medical specialist before embarking on any significant diet, caloric restriction, or fitness regimen.
2. AI Food Estimation & Accuracy
Our AI meal scanner estimates portion weights and nutrient values based on computer vision, projective geometry reasoning, and visual cues. While we strive for the highest degree of accuracy, visual food analysis depends on factors such as lighting, plating, hidden ingredients (e.g. cooking oils, sugars, butter), and angle. Nutritional estimates should be treated as guidance rather than laboratory-exact measurements.
3. User Accounts & Responsibilities
When you create an account, you must provide accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. App Access & Optional Enhanced Features
Nutrition Buddy is free to download on Google Play. You can create an account, log meals, track macronutrient targets, and sync with health platforms at no upfront charge. Any optional enhanced features or trials are offered transparently and managed directly through standard Google Play Store services.
5. Intellectual Property
The Nutrition Buddy app, logos, graphics, interfaces, and proprietary algorithms are owned by Nutrition Buddy and protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, or distribute any part of the application without express written consent.
6. Account Termination & Data Removal
You may terminate your account at any time directly through the app or by using our Account Deletion Portal, which will irreversibly purge all your saved meals, personal target history, and weight logs.
